CDAO Survey Results for Prompt Payment & Adjudication in Ontario
The Construction Design Alliance of Ontario (CDAO) has some interesting survey results on the adoption of prompt payment and adjudication in Ontario, including that:
- 77% of public projects;
- 53% of private projects
have adopted *Construction Act *provisions. The majority of those surveyed would consider adjudication (77%). The main reason for not considering adjudication were the negative impact on the relationship and the time/money cost. CDAO will be sharing additional findings from its survey in the coming months.
