Court Briefs: Updated Notice of Motion Form 37A

Preparing to serve and file a notice of motion with the Ontario Superior Court of Justice? Make sure you’re using the most up-to-date Form 37A available on the Rules of Civil Procedure Forms website (http://ontariocourtforms.on.ca/en/rules-of-civil-procedure-forms/).

The Superior Court will only accept the Form 37A that contains the list of check-boxes under the “Proposed Method of Hearing” section on page 1 of the form. It is not sufficient to simply write out the various methods of the hearing like before; now you must use the check-boxes version of the form or else the court will reject your notice of motion.
